COLLABORATING PROFESSOR AND COLLABORATING RESEARCHER PROGRAM

It is governed by the following University rules:

Important points: 

  • Complies with the provisions of Federal Law No. 9.608, of February 18, 1998; 
  • It does not create a burden for the university; 
  • It does not generate an employment relationship, nor any obligation of a labor, social security or similar nature; 
  • É vetoed to the Collaborating Professor or Collaborating Researcher to receive remuneration for activities carried out within the scope of agreements entered into by Unicamp and/or Funcamp, regardless of the source of payment.

COLLABORATING PROFESSOR PROGRAM 

Important: The information below is not organized in the order in which it appears in Deliberation CONSU-A-016/2020, of 02/06/2020, but rather in the order that explains who can participate in the program and what the process of joining and bonding with the University. Article 13 – Those who fulfill the following requirements, cumulatively, may apply to join the Collaborating Professor Program at the Unicamp Teaching and Research Units:

I – proven teaching experience in Higher Education Institutions, or similar;

II – Doctoral degree, granted by Unicamp, recognized by it or with national validity.

Article 14 – The Collaborating Professor may carry out teaching, research and extension activities inherent to professors who are members of QD-Unicamp at the Teaching and Research Units, with the exception of administrative and representative activities. 

Article 3 – To request entry into the program, the interested party must register on the computerized system attaching the following documentation: 

I – Collaborating Professor

a) curriculum vitae that demonstrates the teaching activities carried out in a Higher Education Institution or similar, up to the date of the request, if they did not belong to Unicamp staff;

b) personal documentation, if it did not belong to Unicamp staff;

c) activity plan to be developed.

§ 1 – When submitting the registration, the interested party will expressly agree with the conditions of the Programs.

§ 2 – The request will be assessed by the Congregation of the Unit, Councils of Nucleus or Centers or equivalent decision-making bodies, for approval and judgment of the plan presented, evaluation and recognition of academic qualifications, taking into account the institutional interest.

Article 4 – Once the entry and activity plan are approved, an agreement will be signed (annex 1 – Collaborating Professor, annex 2 – Collaborating Researcher) which, depending on the activities to be developed, will be valid for a maximum of 3 (three) years, subject to the other conditions established in this Resolution, and may be renewed for a further 3 (three) years.

Normative Instruction DGRH No. 01/2021 

COLLABORATING RESEARCHER PROGRAM

Article 15 – Those who have the title of Doctor awarded by Unicamp may request entry into the Collaborating Researcher Program, to carry out any research activity in Teaching and Research Units, Centers, Nucleus and other Bodies that carry out research activities, recognized by it or of national validity.

Article 3 – To request entry into the program, the interested party must register in the computerized system by attaching the following documentation:

a) curriculum vitae that demonstrates research activities developed or under development, if not previously part of Unicamp staff;

b) personal documentation, if it did not belong to Unicamp staff;

c) activity plan to be developed.

Article 16 – Collaborating Researchers are prohibited from carrying out any activity of an administrative or representative nature.

Article 17 – At the discretion of the Teaching and Research Units and, in the cases of Centers, Nucleus and other Bodies upon their knowledge, the Collaborating Researcher may be accredited to carry out undergraduate or postgraduate teaching activities, in accordance with the current legislation.

Article 18 – The Directors/Coordinators of the Units or Bodies are delegated, subject to the rules of this Resolution, the authority to sign the terms of membership on behalf of the University.

Article 19 – The scientific, technological, artistic or cultural production resulting from the activities in this Program must explicitly mention institutional affiliation with Unicamp.

Normative Instruction DGRH No. 01/2021 

GUEST VISITING RESEARCHER PROGRAM

It is governed by the following University rules: 

Resolution CONSU-A-017/2020 e Resolution CONSU-A-038/2020 

Important points: 

  • Its objective is collaboration in carrying out research activities at Unicamp by external professionals, Brazilian or foreign, for a period determined by financing.
  • Maximum term of 3 (three) years, always linked to the period of validity of the funding for the researcher's maintenance in the program, and may be renewed for another 3 (three) years. 

Article 2 – The Teaching and Research Unit, Interdisciplinary Research Center or Nucleus will invite the professional to act as a Visiting Guest Researcher at the University, granting him/her conditions to develop a research project.

Article 3 – To enter the Guest Visiting Researcher program, the professional must present the following documents:

I – invitation from the Teaching and Research Unit, Nucleus or Interdisciplinary Research Center where you will work, approved by its higher authority (Congregation, or Council or similar);

II – letter of acceptance from the professional;

III – research work plan, containing a description of the activities to be developed in a research project indicating the expected duration of their stay;

IV – updated professional CV, or, in the case of a foreigner, in personalized electronic format;

V – proof of financing for the maintenance of the professional for the period of his/her work in the Guest Visiting Researcher program;

VI – if the professional has an employment or functional relationship with another entity, public or private, document from their home institution agreeing to their participation in the Unicamp Guest Visiting Researcher Program;

VII – personal documentation.

Article 4 – Guest Visiting Researcher funding may be granted by funding agencies or support foundations, including within the scope of research agreements signed by Unicamp and managed by Funcamp, and may also occur through financing (salary, salary or scholarship), guaranteed by public or private entities or universities, with proof by presenting a payslip, paycheck, scholarship agreement or similar.

Article 5 – The documents listed in article 3 of this Deliberation will be presented by the professional to the Teaching and Research Unit, Center or Interdisciplinary Research Nucleus, which will be submitted to the Congregation or equivalent body for deliberation.

§ 1 – Once the professional's entry into the program is approved, he or she will sign the Term of Adhesion to the Guest Visiting Researcher Program and the documentation will be forwarded to the Dean of Research for registration and sending to Cepe for science.

Normative Instruction DGRH No. 01/2021 

VISITING SPECIALIST TEACHER UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM – PPEV

It is governed by Resolution GR-021/2022, of 06/06/2022

The Undergraduate Visiting Specialist Professor Program of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (PRG) proposes to bring to the University professionals with notable professional knowledge and recognized specialization in their area of ​​expertise, enabling their integration with undergraduate students and other members of the university community, through their stay in the academic environment for up to one semester. The objective of this program is to contribute to the training of students and teachers, complementing the content of the curriculum of different courses and promoting, whenever possible, interdisciplinary activities.

The proposals are prepared by course coordinators at Unicamp's teaching units, based on suggestions from the teaching staff and with the participation of undergraduate committees. The submitted proposals are analyzed by a committee made up of representatives from each area of ​​knowledge and by PRG advisors, and classified according to the relevance of the curriculum of the visiting professor candidates, the number of students to be benefited, and the impact on their professional qualification.

Foreign teachers who wish to participate in this program must contact the secretariats and/or course coordinators to verify the possibility of participation, as well as to obtain information about deadlines and other necessary procedures.

Visiting Undergraduate Specialist Professor Program – PRG website 

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCHER PROGRAM (PPPD)

It is governed by the following University rules:

Important: The information below is not organized in the order in which it appears in the deliberations above, but rather in the order that explains who can participate in the program and what the process of joining and bonding with the university is like. It is the program that constitutes a genre of qualification and training of researchers in research and teaching, with a maximum term of 5 (five) years.

Article 2 – Researchers who have a doctorate degree obtained in Brazil or abroad may participate in the PPPD at Unicamp. (Deliberation CONSU-A-003/2018, of 03/04/2018)

“Article 3 – Can join the Post-Doctoral Researcher Program: 

I – researcher financed by a post-doctoral scholarship or equivalent scholarship granted by external institutions or by Unicamp, under the terms of § 6, upon proof of the Grant Agreement signed by the corresponding institution; 

II – researcher with paid leave or approval to join the Program by the research and teaching institution, public body, company or private institution with whom he/she maintains a functional or employment relationship, upon presentation of:  

a) scientific statement or document that proves the researcher’s functional or employment relationship; and

b) authorization of paid leave to carry out the post-doctorate or agreement to carry it out, if there is no leave;

III – researcher without a scholarship and without specific funding for post-doctoral studies and who does not fit into the previous items.
