On April 24, 2026, the Executive Directorate of International Relations (DERI) received a delegation from the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (UACh) in Mexico. The activity took place at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FEAGRI) and its main focus was to strengthen institutional ties and promote future opportunities for collaboration between both institutions.
The Mexican delegation was composed of professors and students from the Agricultural Mechanical Engineering area, including professors Oscar Omar Orozco Sánchez and Samuel García Silva, as well as a group of undergraduate students. From Unicamp, professors from FEAGRI participated, including the unit's director, Ariovaldo José da Silva, and representatives from DERI.
The program began with an institutional meeting held in the FEAGRI amphitheater. The meeting provided a space for dialogue on possibilities for academic cooperation, with an emphasis on student mobility and the development of joint projects.
Subsequently, the delegation participated in technical visits to the unit's laboratories: the Instrumentation and Control Laboratory and the Geoprocessing and Precision Agriculture Laboratory. During these visits, participants were able to see firsthand the infrastructure and ongoing research, especially in the areas of technologies applied to agriculture and innovation in the field.
