Austrian delegation and Unicamp representatives

Unicamp, through its Executive Directorate for International Relations (DERI), received on November 22nd a delegation from the Republic of Austria. The visit aimed to explain Unicamp's strategies regarding academic mobility and research activities.

The representatives of the Austrian country who were part of the delegation were Mr. Alexander Wojda, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs (BMEIA); Mr. Heribert Buchbauer, Director of the Department for International Research Cooperation and Science Diplomacy at the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF); Mr Dorian Taylor, Scientific Officer, Department of International Research Cooperation and Science Diplomacy, Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF); Mr. Jakob Calice, Director General of the Agency for Education and Internationalization (OeAD); Ms. Isabella Scheibelreiter, Mobility and Cooperation Programs Officer, Education and Internationalization Agency (OeAD); and Ms. Christiane Matter, from the Consulate General of Austria in São Paulo. 

The Austrian delegation participated in a meeting at the office of the Executive Directorate for International Relations with Prof. Dr. Osvaldir Pereira Taranto, Executive Director of International Relations, and Dr. Daniel Cantinelli Sevillano, Assistant for International Cooperation. At the meeting, a presentation was made about Unicamp: ways to enter the University, how exchanges work, student stay programs, subjects in English, Portuguese courses for foreigners and other language courses taught by the Language Teaching Center (CEL ). Furthermore, the Scientific Initiation program, Unicamp's interdisciplinary Research Centers and the International Hub for Sustainable Development (HIDS) were presented, whose purpose is to become an international model of a smart and sustainable district. Unicamp's presentation to the Austrian delegation aims at future partnerships and cooperation agreements for mobility and research opportunities.
