Unicamp responds for 8% of all academic research in Brazil, 12% of national postgraduate studies and it’s the first place among the Brazilian universities when it comes to patents and articles published per capita annually in science magazines indexed in ISI/WoS database. The annual average number of defended theses and dissertations is 2.1 thousand, and 99% of the university’s professors have doctorate degrees. If the academic production is calculated by each researcher’s performance, Unicamp is, currently, the most productive Brazilian university.
