EXCHANGE STUDENT FOR INTERNSHIP/RESEARCH

Students from higher education institutions from other countries can come to Unicamp to carry out an internship in a laboratory or part of their research together with professors from the University. In this modality, the student can be from Unicamp partner institutions or not, the only difference is in the documents required for registration.

The student must contact the professor with whom he intends to carry out the internship or research to express interest and arrange details such as activities to be developed, dates of stay at Unicamp, among others.

The procedure for registering and monitoring the student during the period of stay at Unicamp is the responsibility of the faculty or institute that will receive them, not depending on approval or intermediation by Deri.

If the internship/research is at the Undergraduate level, the Faculty or Institut must forward to the DAC:

Necessary documents

Letter addressed to DAC-DIA, requesting enrollment and informing the student's home institution
Form CA12 Didactic Load (if there is more than one professor responsible for the subject)
Subject program, describing the activities to be developed by the student
Updated Academic Transcript of the Institution of origin (if the Institution is not an Unicamp partner)
Updated Enrollment Certificate of the Institution of origin (if the Institution is not an Unicamp partner)
Letter of Aptitude for Enrollment issued by the DAC Service (if the student is a foreigner and the stay at Unicamp is longer than 90 days)
If the internship/research is at the Graduate level, the Unit must forward to the DAC:
Letter of Aptitude for Enrollment issued by the DAC Service (if the student is a foreigner and the stay at Unicamp is longer than 90 days)

Procedure

Upon arrival at Unicamp, the student must go to the Teaching Unit where they will carry out the internship or research to sign the necessary documents and receive initial orientations.

In the case of a Brazilian or foreign student staying at Unicamp for up to 90 days, the Unit will forward the documents listed above to the DAC.

In the case of a foreigner whose stay at Unicamp is longer than 90 days, the student must appear, after presenting themselves at the teaching unit, at the DAC Service with a simple copy accompanied by the originals of the following documents:

Passport identification page
Passport page containing the visa
Passport page with entry stamp
National Migrant Registration Card (CRNM) or visa registration protocol or scheduling for registration with the Federal Police

The orientation is that the student already brings the official letter and the forms filled out by the Unit when they attend the DAC, thus the process is more agile.

In the case of documents issued by Institutions headquartered abroad, see the rules in Documents produced abroad.

Information on types of Visas for Brazil, visit Visa Guidelines for Foreigners.

Result

Upon completion of their registration, the student will receive an email from DAC with their student registration number (RA) and password to use Wifi Eduroam.
