Graduates from this program will be able to prepare studies and projects related to industrial facilities, processing lines, equipment and technological processes for processing food derived from plant and animal raw materials, as well as manage and supervise factories responsible for processing, preserving, storing, transporting and selling food products and their derivatives. The food engineering program is a branch of engineering. Graduates are qualified to develop new products and processes and introduce traditional methods in the processing of fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, milk, cereals, oilseeds, sugar cane, coffee, cacao etc. and their derivatives and in the treatment of the residues from these industries; and draw up, manage and implement plans for chemical, microbiological and sensory quality control. Graduates will also be able to work as university lecturers.
