Master’s (12 to 30 months) and Doctorate (24 to 54 months)

The master’s and doctoral program in linguistics seeks to prepare researchers in the field of language. Graduates who successfully complete the program work mainly as researchers and lecturers in higher education throughout Brazil as linguistics is part of the curriculum in language courses. The program strives to provide an environment in which students can reflect on innovative research issues and subjects of inquiry, and to develop new areas in the field of language studies, while always placing emphasis on interdisciplinarity so that our students can acquire knowledge and carry out research in the various fields of linguistics.
